Behind Avona Bikes are Max Koch and Jonas Müller – two true experts in the cycling industry who set out to create their own bike brand for uncompromising performance on two wheels. Max brings over 10 years of industry experience, while Jonas has worked as an engineer for renowned brands such as Santa Cruz, BMC, and Arc8. Their shared vision: to build bikes exactly the way they’ve always imagined – without shortcuts, without trends, and with total focus on function.

We had the great opportunity to support Avona Bikes from the very beginning – from the first concept to the final brand presentation. Our task: to develop a visual identity that reflects the mindset and values of the founders. This included naming (for the models), the logo and headbadge, as well as a full corporate design system with brand copy, typography, and color palette.

clean, technical, confident

In a collaborative workshop, we shaped the brand identity for Avona: clean, technical, confident – but never too loud. We translated this into a corporate design featuring a fresh visual language, concise brand copy, and graphic elements that reflect Avona’s values. We also advised on the frame design process: after extensive research and testing countless color combinations, we landed on a palette that fits Avona perfectly – elegant, timeless, and premium. A design signature that stands out from the mainstream and reinforces the high-end quality of the bikes.

For Avona’s online presence, we created a UX/UI design that puts the spotlight on performance, expertise, and product excellence. The website is built with an intuitive CMS that allows Max and Jonas to manage and update their content independently – including a tech blog where Jonas regularly shares insights into the development process and technical features of their bikes. The result is an authentic, expert-driven connection with their audience – informative, inspiring, and true to the brand.
